John began painting in the Hamptons in the 1950's, and in 1988, having moved from Manhattan to Greenwich, decided to devote himself to painting as a full-time occupation. John studied at SUNY-Purchase, painted in the Greenwich studio of Dmitri Wright, and at Silvermine (where he eventually became a Trustee). John’s work has been seen in numerous juried shows, group shows, as well as one-man shows in Greenwich and East Hampton. When his inventory of paintings allows, he has been represented by galleries in Dennis, MA (Wilson), Edgartown (Gardner-Colby), Greenwich (Barney’s and VanLoan), Vero Beach (Admiralty) and Southampton (Mark Humphrey). John has studios in Greenwich, CT, East Hampton, N Y, and Vero Beach, Florida. He may be contacted via his E-mail address.
